Alot has happened since February. I am restless and thinking how nice it would be to just move out of Missouri. I think Oregon might be nice. lol
Anyway, I had one foal this year. A pretty black filly. Special.
Other than that, still working on costumes. The one I'm working on now is my favorite so far. It's turning out so pretty. It will be awhile before it's done because it's a complete native costume. The price will be high, but if it doesn't sell, I won't be disappointed, because I kind of want to keep it. lol Everything else that I've created has sold and I'm out of stock. This is good. Except that I took a little break and now I'm behind. There's a price for everything.
I was asked to do this drawing for an equine federation in Tennessee. I just completed it. Someone will win the drawing in the next horse show, which I was also invited to come and help judge. That would be fun.
My own showing won't commence until this fall. I have two horses that will be going in halter. A yearling, Magic and our newest filly, born in April that will be in weanling. She is black and the best so far. I'm very proud of her. To think, we tried to sell her mom while she was pregnant. Just goes to show that things happen for a reason.
Right now I am training my son's filly, Bright Eyes. She is doing terrific. A little lazy, but no argument to speak of. Last night she had her first ride with a bit. I've been riding her with a hackamore so far, but she was slow responding to it. The bit led to a lot of chewing and she had a bit of time adjusting to something in her mouth. But by the time we were done, she was starting to rein well with it and I can see she is going to have a lovely soft mouth.
